About
Amrita Health was founded by Sherab Holley who has a passion for healing with natural ingredients and utilising all that nature offers us, both in the external environment and within.
Sherab attained her Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy) degree from Endeavour College of Natural Health.
With a passion for helping others attain genuine health and wellbeing, Sherab can support your journey towards physical, mental and spiritual balance.
Since childhood, Sherab has had a passion for nature, plants, herbs, cooking, nutrition and healing. She now applies this passion to utilise all that nature offers to facilitate healing naturally from within and without.
Sherab found Buddhism in her early 20s and for the last 25 years has been studying and practicing in both the Gelug and Nyingma Traditions of Tibetan Buddhism, including 14 years as a Buddhist Nun.
Originally from Melbourne, Victoria, Sherab was raised by a devout Christian family who instilled in her the importance of treating others with kindness, love and care. She also came to respect and value the role that faith, community and spirituality bring to daily life.
Sherab was trained as a classical Violinist and to this day continues to teach and perform in the local Sunshine Coast area. She found that meditation and Buddhist practice enhanced her musical training and performance abilities, through heightening attention and concentration while reducing clinging and attachment to perfectionist ideals.
After completing her Bachelor of Health Science in Naturopathy, Sherab now combines her passion for helping others with their physical and mental health concerns with leading and guiding meditation sessions and retreats.
Sherab is an avid gardener and nature lover and will often prescribe beach and nature walks to her clients.
Naturopathy is a holistic modality combining traditional healing methods, current scientific evidence and clinical experience. Taking into account the whole person and all that determines and influences our health and happiness, Naturopathy considers and supports the physical body, mind, spirit, environment, lifestyle and emotional wellbeing.
